About Sam

• Educated and trained as a structural design engineer, Sam has spent the last 20 years of his professional life in real estate and construction. He started Hunter & Associates in 1987 as a real estate development company and developed subdivisions in the Greenville for the next several years before turning the company’s focus to residential renovations.

• At 38 Sam was born again. He quickly realized that being a Christian was not about religion, and its accompanying set of burdensome rules; it is not about a somber and dull approach to living; nor is it about a Cosmic Killjoy God lurking around just to see if anybody is having fun so He can stop it and punish them for it.

• No, it is about a relationship – a personal, one-on-one relationship with a loving Heavenly Father that can be both intimate and vibrant. And . . . fun!

• “I wanted to immediately make it clear to my friends that there’s more, MUCH more to it than just showing up on Sundays.”

• Today, all around us we see people – good people – trying to be good enough, following a checklist of do’s and don’ts, all the while hoping that God grades on the curve. They are missing 1^st: the truth about salvation and 2^nd: the abundant life Jesus promised.
